Facebook Launches Gifts!

Facebook offers the ability to send gifts
Last week Facebook began rolling out Gifts – it’s their first real push into online retail. In the $20-$30 range, you can send a gift to family or friends through Facebook without ever having to leave the platform. Click a link to send a gift from an approved vendor including Starbucks or Gundy Teddy Bears.
The recipient receives an instant notification with a preview of the gift. In some cases, the recipient will have the ability to select the color or size or even manage an exchange for equal or lesser value from the merchant.
The new feature began rolling out last week but was not available on in the USA on Friday. Smartphone functionality will launch with Android with the iPhone following shortly behind.
