In response to customer requests, the USPS announced the launch of Picture Permit Indicia on June 24th. Picture Permit allows commercial mailers to use a permit enhanced with logos, photos or other brand images of presorted mail. First-class mail letters and cards will be an additional 1 cent per piece, and standard letters and cards will be an additional 2 cents per piece.
Gary Reblin, Vice President, Domestic Products says “dozens of our largest customers looking to increase brand awareness and increase the effectiveness of their mail have asked us to allow more creativity in the design of their permit indicia.” Picture permit will allow mailers to use corporate logos, product visuals or other brand images in the permit indicia space.
