Last night, my husband and I honored Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech, I have a dream, by watching the movie, 42 – The Jackie Robinson Story. Challenged beyond comprehensive, Jackie faced personal attacks and public humiliation from his teammates, competitors, and white America.
Robinson has inspired me to be a better person: to always take the high road, to not react when provoked, and to remain focused on what’s most important when it’s most difficult.
“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.” ~Jackie Robinson
